I have images embedded in my various posts, but here is where you’ll find most of the images that I upload.

iPhone allstars – April 2010

I decided to compile some of the images I’ve recorded with my iPhone.

Mac Repair – June, 2009

I spilled Sprite on the dang thing and had to repair it.  Totally stressful, cuz I’d never pulled a laptop apart before, but I’d say I scored an 80% on the test.  Keyboard lights no longer light up and operating light on the front only lights up on initial startup, but I can run programs and do real work, so I lucked out.

Redhook Brewery Bike Ride – June, 2009

My friend Doug had gotten an invite to ride from downtown Seattle to the Redhook Brewery and back.  It’s a fairly common bike ride, as you ride 20 miles out on a bike-only trail, eat and drink (aka “refuel”) at the destination, and then ride back, usually a little slower than your ride out, depending on how many wonderful frothy beverages you may have deemed necessary to refuel yourself.  6 of us went out on the ride and, well, you get the idea.  As you can see, no pics were taken on the way out, as they would have been boring anyway.

Ring-casting Party – June, 2009

My buddy Dean proposed to his girlfriend Molly recently and to celebrate that with friends and family, they had a ring-casting party.  My first thought was, “WTF?  What is that?”  Let’s just say that it was pretty cool.  Cindi, the host and owner of Goldmine Design in downtown Seattle, let Molly grab a blowtorch and heat up the gold, which was placed in the arm of a centrifuge.  When the gold melted, Cindi killed the torch and gave the centrifuge a good ol’ Wheel of Fortune spin and the gold was forced into the mold.  Between all the neat tools and parts on the toolbench and the process itself, I had a good time.  Congratulations Dean and Molly!  As Zeno likes to say in his txt msgs, “DFU!”

Ballard Criterium – June, 2009

This is a fun race to attend each year.  The criterium format is a single loop, usually about a kilometer long, and you just run flat-out for a fixed period of time.  Category 5 racers (beginners) run for 35 minutes, while the Pros run for 70 minutes.  The course is in old town Ballard, and is lined with bars along most of its length, so there are plenty of spectators.  That, with the race itself being high-paced, makes for a fun environment.  I forgot that the race was going on, so I didn’t have my tripod with me this time, but I happened to have my camera on me, and I managed to get a few pics snapped off.

Egypt – Feb, 2008

My sister had been teaching in Cairo on a year-long assignment, and so my other sister and my mom and I went to visit for two weeks.

Random Images

That’s pretty much it. Random images.

Roswell and Carlsbad Caverns – Feb, 2009

I visited with my sister in Albuquerque and we did a roadtrip out to the SE corner of NM.

White Sands, NM – Feb, 2009

After hitting Roswell and Carlsbad, we drove through White Sands Natl Monument on our way back to Albuquerque. Beautiful place that had me all messed up because it looked like a snow environment. I kept thinking Hoth instead of Tatooine.

Juneau, AK – December 26, 2009

The last night in town on a trip up north. Looks like some pent-up aggressions were taken out on and by each of us. Needless to say, we had trouble getting to the plane on time the next morning.

Starcrossed Cyclocross Race, 2007

The Starcrossed Cyclocross Race is held every year at Marymoor Park. It’s done at night under the lights and part of the course runs inside the velodrome there, including one turn on the banked section. It’s one the more exciting and attended events in the local cycling scene. Anyway, here are some pics from the ’07 edition.
