Here’s where I acknowledge all the folks who have sent me txt msgs and Facebook notes and MySpace crap about how much they want to join me/hope my flight landed safely/wish me a Happy Holiday/will miss my stupid ass/insert whatever else here.  Thanks to everybody who did so.

I went to the Metallica show on Monday night and then took a flight up to Juneau on Tuesday, and what the hell is it with this 30 degree shit around here?  It’s like it’s almost Winter or some shit!  No, no thanks to that.  It gets better though, because I got whatever uber-cold is going around Seattle right now, so I have the cough, the itchy eyes that water, the runny nose, the sneezing, waitaminit….I am a walking Nyquil commercial.  BUT, it gets even better when you factor in the cracked rib I got the week before from taking a spill in the dark at home.  I desperately want to cough and sneeze, but I desperately DON’T want to because it hurts to do so.  I’m completely pathetic right now, it’s kinda funny.  I get to play the Hey Let’s Sleep on This Side So the Snot Will Drain into the Other Side of My Head game, but it only really works on one side, cuz it hurts to lay on the left side, so that game sucks too.

And so I am up in AK for a month.  Different types of posts to follow than the normal drivel that I usually partake in, and probably a lot more photo galleries will sprout up, I’m sure.   So in closing, I’ll leave you with this, from the Metallica show last Monday.
