the fountain of youth
I used to tell people that the bicycle is the fountain of youth. And it is. However, I’ve been giddy all damn day, because I’m going to Iron Maiden tonight, and it’ been interfering with work.
So and so needs earplugs. So and so doesn’t know if they have extra tickets, but so and so doesn’t care, they’re going to go buy some anyway and meet us there. So and so is gonna show up here, and I’m shutting the shop down early and omigod!!! Like, TOTALLY!!!!
I need to get 15 cash, and a bottle of Bombay Sapphire because we’re taking a party bus to the show. 50 people have rented a big ol’ bus like the metro buses and we’re allowed to bring drinks, and this is going to be out of hand.
Iron Maiden was the first real show I saw back in 1988 (thanks, Nan) and so I’m reverting back to being a 17 yr old again. I’ve been listening to an Iron Maiden playlist on my iPod all day and it’s just hilarious.
I’d say I’ll post all about it tomorrow, except that I’ve proven that I take much longer than 24 hrs to post about any specific events. Well, that and the fact that a bunch of us are going to go see Dethklok tomorrow night, so I’ll be busy.
